The Dakar Rally 2027 is scheduled to take place from January 2 to January 16, 2027, once again in Saudi Arabia — marking the 8th consecutive edition hosted in the Kingdom. The rally kicks off with the prologue on January 2, followed by Stage 1 on January 3, and concludes with the final stage and award ceremony on January 16.

Dakar Classic 2027 – Dates & Registration
The Dakar Classic runs in parallel with the main Dakar Rally, sharing the same bivouac and logistics infrastructure while following a separate route. Participating vehicles must be models that competed in the Dakar Rally up to the 1999 edition — or other historic rally-raid vehicles deemed relevant by the organiser.
Based on previous editions, Dakar Classic 2027 registration milestones are expected to align closely with the main Dakar calendar, opening in May 2026.
