Rallye Breslau 2026 takes place from 28 June to 3 July 2026 in Poland and is organised by RBI Sport. It is one of the longest running off road rallies in Europe, with a story that reaches back to 1995, and the 2026 edition opens a new chapter built around a two bivouac concept. The rally starts in Drawsko Pomorskie and finishes in the sandy terrain around Zagan, a region often called the Polish Sahara. For anyone drawn to rally raid, from first time adventurers to seasoned Dakar competitors, Breslau remains one of the most accessible ways to live a real multi day off road rally.
At TimeOut Racing we follow Breslau closely, because it sits exactly where our world begins. Many of the drivers who later line up at the Dakar took their first serious steps in events like this one. So here is the complete picture of what waits in Poland in summer 2026.

A legend that has lived for more than 30 years
Breslau was born from people who chased a simple spark, the wish to feel something real and to step into a place where adventure still lives. For more than three decades the rally has drawn competitors from many nations, with very different machines and very different dreams, all united by the same fire. Every summer the forests, the sand and the military training grounds of Poland come alive with engines, dust and thousands of people. The slogan says it best: Be ready. Be bold. Be Breslau.
The 2026 format: two bivouacs, one journey
The biggest change for 2026 is the structure. Everything begins in Drawsko Pomorskie, one of the largest and most complex military terrains in Europe, a landscape of forests, dunes, water, sand and fast open sections. Starting here unlocks fresh stage layouts and new routes, and it gives the rally a stronger, more exciting opening.
The week starts with administration and scrutineering on 26 and 27 June. On Sunday 28 June the optional Shakedown lets teams fine tune their machines, and the Prologue then sets the starting order with a first real taste of the terrain. Still in Drawsko, the famous Night Stage turns the forest into a completely different world once darkness falls, a dramatic early test of focus, teamwork and trust.
The decisive moment comes on Wednesday 1 July with the Hannibal marathon stage, presented this year in a new format. This long day carries competitors from Drawsko all the way to Zagan, connecting the two worlds of the rally and marking a clear shift in terrain and strategy. From there the action moves into the legendary sandy terrain of the Polish Sahara, where fast sections, dunes and long tactical lines define the final act. The finish under the Breslau Arch follows on Friday 3 July, with awards and celebration, before the bivouac closes on Saturday 4 July. In total the rally delivers a Prologue plus five rally legs and the Night Stage.
Three ways to race: choose your challenge
One of the reasons Breslau works for such a wide range of drivers is its three category structure.
Cross Country is the heart of rally racing. Enduro, ATV, SSV, cars and trucks charge across vast terrain where speed meets precision, navigation decides everything and endurance is tested every single day. Extreme is the battle with the terrain itself. Here cars and trucks enter a raw world of mud, water and winching points, where a clever decision is worth more than raw speed and every metre forward is earned. Discovery is the spirit of adventure, a relaxed and non competitive way for Enduro, ATV, SSV and car crews to taste the rally without the pressure of all out racing.
Who can take part
Breslau is built for many paths. Newcomers can start without a competition licence in the Discovery category, with plenty of room to learn and grow. Experienced crews come to sharpen their craft in Cross Country or Extreme. Families and support teams give the bivouac its warm, living atmosphere from morning until late at night.
The rally also looks to the future through NextGEN, its long term program for talents under the age of 25. Through mentoring, media exposure and storytelling, NextGEN helps young racers build confidence, gain experience and present themselves professionally, on and off the stage.
Navigation, fuel and safety
In 2026 all racing categories and classes use the IRIS Digital Roadbook and NAV GPS system, a modern, FIA compliant solution that combines digital roadbook navigation, waypoint validation, GPS tracking and real time data exchange with Rally Control. It also enables car to car communication for SOS alerts, hazard warnings and overtaking. Rental of one IRIS device is included in the entry fee, while the mounting kit is purchased separately. Discovery competitors navigate by Garmin.
Fuel autonomy is the responsibility of every competitor. Enduro and ATV need roughly 150 kilometres of range, while SSV, cars and trucks need roughly 250 kilometres, and a ten percent reserve is strongly recommended. External fuel containers are not allowed, but Remote Refuelling Zones are provided for longer stages.
Safety is built into every stage. A tracking system compliant with the FIA Regional Rally standard keeps every vehicle connected to Rally Control in real time. Professional medical teams with 4WD ambulances, doctors and paramedics stand ready, a helicopter monitors the active race areas, and recovery teams operate across all terrains.
Entry fees and key dates
Registration for Rallye Breslau 2026 opens on 18 December 2025 at www.rallye-breslau.com. Entry fees stay unchanged from the previous edition, which keeps the rally accessible. The earlier you register, the less you pay. The Christmas Rate is valid until 31 December 2025, the Promo Rate until 31 March 2026 and the Standard Rate until 1 June 2026.
Under the Christmas Rate the entry fee is 1250 euro for Enduro and ATV, 2600 euro for SSV, 2850 euro for cars, and 3400 to 3850 euro for trucks depending on crew size. The entry covers the full event program, sporting rights, third party liability insurance, IRIS device rental, safety and recovery support, and daily catering with breakfast, a lunch package and dinner at the bivouac.
Why Breslau matters on the road to Dakar
For TimeOut Racing, Breslau is more than a Polish summer rally. It is a proving ground. The mix of navigation, endurance, sand and tactical terrain mirrors many of the demands a crew will later meet at the Dakar Rally and the Dakar Classic. If you are dreaming of the big desert and want to test yourself, your machine and your codriver in a controlled but genuinely tough environment, this is one of the best places in Europe to begin.
The program is set, teams are preparing, and a new chapter of the legend is about to begin. Be ready. Be bold. Be Breslau.
