Planning your Dakar 2026 logistics? Make sure you’re prepared for the official vehicle loading days and the updated boarding requirements. Whether you're a Dakar Classic rookie or a seasoned team – here’s what you need to know to ensure smooth shipping from Europe to Saudi Arabia.

Vehicle Loading in Barcelona: Save the Dates
All vehicles will be loaded at the Port of Barcelona on November 27, 28, and 29, 2025.
Further details about arrival slots and access regulations will be announced later – but we highly recommend you begin planning now.
👉 Important: Consult the new Vessel Guide thoroughly before organizing transport. Failure to comply with the guide’s rules may result in denial of boarding.
New Authorized Vehicle Dimensions
The ASO has revised the maximum allowed vehicle dimensions for shipping. This affects both assistance trucks and race vehicles.If your vehicle is outside the standard limits, you must submit an “Oversized Vehicle Form” by September 15, 2025.
Unauthorized Vehicles
Some vehicle types are now explicitly banned from shipping. Check the updated Vessel Guide to avoid costly surprises.
Arrival in Saudi Arabia – Port of Yanbu
Disembarkation is scheduled at Port of Yanbu on December 30, 2025, with pick-up possible from:
🕗 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM
To speed up the logistics process:
Teams with 10 or more wheeled vehicles will collect in the morning (08:00 – 13:00). The Competitor Services Team will reach out directly.
All other teams will pick up in the afternoon (13:00 – 20:00).
